See you then!

Playing around with simple sketches and color-blocking lately. I love how little you can put down on a page to create a whole story. With just a few strokes of the brush this little lady has attitude radiating from her.

I did this sketch by hand and then played around with it in Photoshop a little, I like the computer graphics characteristics mixing with the hand-painted qualities. I'm thinking you'll see more of this style in the future, what do you think?

Happy summer everyone! I will be celebrating the beautiful weather with a little backpacking trip this weekend! See you in the mountains.

Matt is out of town for the weekend, so last night I went for a run, painted my nails, watched Audrey Hepburn movies and sketched. It was glorious.

Happy summer everyone!

Because it's Tuesday, and it just seems like the right thing to do.

I wish it could be spring FOREVER. I never want the beautiful blooms to end, so I took a Sunday afternoon and collected as many flowers as I could and stuck them between the pages of Vogue.

I have been searching garage sales, second hand shops and antique stores for vintage frames to put these pretties in, and I am loving how they are looking. If you are interested in buying one feel free to contact me here, or find some prints of the scans here, here, here and here.

What do you think? Stay tuned for more designs!

The Seattle made jewelry shop Fresh Tangerine is my latest addiction, I can't stop buying their gold stacking rings. I was in search of the perfect rings (that wouldn't  tarnish or turn my fingers green) when I came across Fresh Tangerine's Instagram. I was immediately hooked and have put in more than one order (Fresh Tangerine products are also found at Moorea Seal, which if you remember is another Seattle Fav).

Little word of advice, there is no such thing as too many rings. Now throw your hands up in the air and happy shopping!

I recently had someone contact me about a set of custom illustrations to be inspired by her favorite quote. Above is what we came up with! It is so much fun taking someone's idea and making it a reality, and it's the best way to make sure you absolutely love the art on your walls.

Have an idea? Contact me for your own custom illustration!

The paintings were inspired by the below quote...

We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered use, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.
